Cantina Reference and Clever Shooting Name Show Han Solo Movie Is In The Right Hands

Chris Miller, half of the directing team on the new Han Solo movie, tweeted out the first picture from the Star Wars prequel's production, and all I have to say is – well played.

The clever nod to the "Han Shot First" fan-refrain first popularized after Lucas' special edition meddling is a nice touch, but for me it's the production title at the bottom of the clapperboard that seals the deal.  "Red Cup" (as in red Solo cup) is a hilarious working title, and it just convinces me more that my soft prediction about the title being simply Solo will end up being accurate (C'mon, though, that is the only acceptable title).  I'm still not entirely persuaded that this film will be great, or that it's even necessary, but this goes a long way toward assuaging my fears that directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller get it.  A Han Solo movie has to have adventure, swagger, and perhaps most importantly, humor.  That last bit is what might be the most difficult.  Star Wars hasn't always hit home runs in the humor department (Jar Jar *shudder*), but I think Lord and Miller might just have the chops to pull this off.  Or maybe I'm reading this all wrong, and they're just huge Toby Keith fans.
